1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website.

They are widely used to:

Make websites work properly
Remember your preferences
Improve your experience
Help website owners understand how visitors use their site

Cookies are NOT:

✗ Viruses or malware
✗ Able to access other files on your device
✗ Able to identify you personally by themselves

2. How We Use Cookies

Beautimonial does not currently set any cookies of its own.

Instead, the features that would typically rely on cookies — staying logged in and remembering your dark/light mode preference — are handled using your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and isn't transmitted with every request the way a cookie is.

The one exception is our payment processor, Razorpay, which may set its own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely — see Section 4.

If we introduce features that require cookies in the future (for example, first-party analytics), we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting them.

We do NOT use cookies (or local storage) for:

3. Types of Cookies We Use

We don't currently set cookies directly. Here's exactly what each category would normally cover, and what Beautimonial uses instead today:

3.1 Essential — handled via local storage, not cookies

Not currently in use. We don't run any analytics or tracking service, so no usage data is collected via cookies today.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some features of Beautimonial rely on third-party services. Here's what each one actually does:

Supabase (Authentication)

Purpose: secure user authentication and session management. In our setup, your session is stored in browser local storage, not a cookie.

Purpose: secure payment processing. Razorpay's checkout may set its own session cookies while it's open, which are cleared once checkout completes.

Resend (Email)

Purpose: transactional email delivery. Cookies set on our website: none.

We do NOT use:

5. Cookie Duration

Since Beautimonial doesn't set cookies of its own today, there's no expiration schedule to disclose for our own systems. The one cookie duration outside our control is Razorpay's checkout session, which is short-lived and scoped to the payment flow only.

Local storage we use (your login session, your theme preference) persists on your device until you log out or clear your browser's site data — it doesn't expire on a fixed schedule the way a cookie would.

6. Managing Your Cookies

6.1 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies. Here's where to look:

6.2 What Happens If You Clear Site Data

Since Beautimonial uses local storage rather than cookies for login and preferences, browser cookie settings won't affect it directly — but clearing your browser's site data for beautimonial.com will:

Log you out of your dashboard
Reset your dark/light mode preference

If you disable cookies entirely in your browser, Razorpay's checkout may not be able to process your payment — that's the one part of Beautimonial that depends on cookies today.

7. Cookie Consent

7.1 Our Current Approach

We don't currently show a cookie consent banner, because Beautimonial doesn't set any non-essential cookies that would require your consent. The only cookies involved anywhere in the product are Razorpay's, set solely to process your payment during checkout.

7.2 If This Changes

If we add features that require cookies — such as first-party analytics — we will update this policy first and add a consent banner where required before those cookies are set.

7.3 GDPR

For users in the European Union: we don't set analytics or advertising cookies, so there's currently nothing that would require opt-in consent under GDPR. Razorpay's checkout cookies are strictly necessary to complete your payment.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or third-party services that involve cookies.

When we make changes:

We update the "Last Updated" date
We notify active users if changes are significant
Continued use means acceptance of the updated policy

We recommend reviewing this policy periodically for any changes.
